The new versatile TURBOCAST 1000 Grit Spreader provides multi-action, even spread. It can be used as a broadcast spreader or as a drop spreader. When broadcast spreading, it can cover a large area quickly with minimum passes. The dual spinner plates provide an even and consistent spread.* TURBOCAST 1000 Grit Spreader converts from a broadcast spreader into a direct drop spreader with unique twin side deflectors. Drop spreading can be accurately controlled, eliminating any waste. Alternatively, by using one side deflector, the broadcast spread can be limited to one side only.
A large capacity of 430 ltr means that TURBOCAST 1000 Grit Spreader will hold 10 x 50kg bags of rock salt. This enables the gritter to cover large areas such as car parks, industrial sites, distribution centres and private roads.
TURBOCAST 1000 Grit Spreader has 3 spread rate adjustment settings. These have been selected to follow recommended guidelines set by the Highways Agency, for precautionary, intermediate and priority gritting.
The hopper is manufactured from tough Durapol® material which will not chip, corrode or require maintenance. The efficient agitation mechanism allows the gritter to operate quietly (ideal for late night or early morning gritting). A unique protective cover means that mechanisms do not come into contact with the grit/salt. All moving mechanical parts are protected. Dump flap apertures behind the spinner plates allow any leftover grit/salt to be emptied from the hopper when gritting is completed.
TURBOCAST 1000 Grit Spreader can be supplied with either a ball hitch or pin hitch, so can be used with a number of towing vehicles; e.g. vans and trucks, two and four wheel driven tractors (with the pin hitch option), or passenger cars.
